This is Dean Paz, one of my esteemed mentors. When I left Manila to move to Denmark in 2007, I lost an academic career, had no idea how to start working again, and had no professors who could vouch for my work. She wrote me a note that made me confident about starting out on my own, and also made me think about how I could give back to all the teachers I have had.

I finished this portrait quickly because I had the time between 18 to 26 December 2020. I was exposed to someone who tested positive for corona virus and had to stay home, in quarantine. Tested negative on 27 December.
